Skiing Vs Snowboarding!?

There have been a lot of debates about which is better, skiing or snowboarding. I myself started skiing first but have yet to go snowboarding. Hopefully I will be able to go up the mountain sometime within this winter season! This blog post is going to be highlighting some current videos and things which I find really entertaining to watch. In my opinion, skiing and snowboarding are very similar yet different sports. I mean there is cross country skiing, tech/street snowboarding, downhill skiing and snowboarding... and much more. Different people will prefer different styles of riding.

This video was uploaded about a day ago and I must say it is a pretty funny video! Skiiers will be able to relate!

I have really been interested in how to snowboard but I don't know anything about snowboard gear. I guess it isn't much different from skiing gear except maybe the bindings and boots. People doing flips and grinds look like they are having a blast. However I hear when learning to snowboard that you fall on your butt a lot. Must be painful! Downhill snowboarding sounds really dangerous but fun at the same time. Since I am a beginner, when I think of snowboards, I think of Burton snowboards. It is like when you first start longboarding and the only board company you have heard of is Sector 9. There is a lot of learning for me to do!

Here is a sick snowboard picture. I'm going to set it as my wallpaper!

In my opinion, skiing is easier to learn but harder to master. Snowboarding is probably hard to get the hang of but once you do it is somewhat easier to get in the zone.

To wrap up this post, what is up with cross country skiing anyways? Seems super boring haha. Everyone is different! Slalom skiing or alpine skiing sound and look much more fun.

Please send in your pics and videos! My email is on the right of the home page if you cannot find it. Once I get a bunch of videos/pics I like, I will post them up! Have fun shredding!
